The SInRG project is no longer under development, and this website is no longer being updated.
Scalable Intracampus Research Grid

From 2000-2005, the SInRG project evolved into a successful research infrastructure on the University of Tennessee, Knoxville campus that mirrored the underlying technologies and the interdisciplinary research collaborations that have been characteristic of the emerging national technology grid. SInRG's primary purpose was to provide a technological and organizational microcosm in which key research challenges underlying grid-based computing coulb be attacked with better communication and control than wide-area environments usually permit. Knowledge acquired in this smaller environment helps in improving the national grid infrastructure. The project was supported by a grant from the National Science Foundation.

Since the project has now ended, neither this site nor its content are maintained. ICL extends its appreciation to not only the NSF and industry supporters who made this project possible (listed at the bottom of this page), but also to the many contributors and staff who put in countless hours keeping the infrastructure functioning and accessible for collaboration and research.
